Topic: Established Platforms Create New Application Categories

Mr. Krauskopf will speak about technology trends leading to new application categories. His current work involves a new application category for VoIP and XMPP technologies while his past work included new applications based on IRC and TCP. Mr. Krauskopf will also talk about the ultimate application, the World-Wide-Web which grew out of previous platforms and became the ultimate application platform itself. This talk will include some technical detail (and some acronyms), but does not expect the audience to have any previous experience with the guts of any of the technologies described.
